Bibita Mountain - Ethiopia

Despite the high degree of endemic species, most of the highlands in the country have already vanished, however a few untouched spots still remain. Bibita Mountain is one such spot. To our knowledge, this isolated mountain had never been explored before by zoologists. Our previous attempt in 2016 to reach the untouched forest at the top was unsuccessful, however in this occasion we managed to reach the pristine forest at an elevation of approximately 2,000 meters. Our few days there were very successful (a few papers coming out about this soon), but we hope to go back there soon.
