Along with my good friend Alex Hermosillo and several other biologist from my hometown, we started a non-for profit called Entorno Biotico A.C. The goal of our NGO is to promote research and conservation of the natural resources of western Mexico, as well as promoting sustainable development in rural areas.
To this day we have obtained several national and international grants to work on different projects in our home state of Colima.
In 2018, we started a second non-for-profit organization, Herp.mx. It is an independent research group dedicated to the study and conservation of Mexico's herpetofauna with an emphasis on at-risk species. Check out Herp.mx’s website here!
